The Junior Welfare League of Huntington is proud to once again present its 16th Annual Wine Tasting event on June 10, 2006. The event will be held at the Vanderbilt Mansion and is one of the premier events on the North Shore of Long Island.
All Wine Tasting proceeds directly benefit our Summer Camp Program and Lift Fund. Last year, we were able to send over 100 needy children from Huntington Township to camp. This year, the JWL hopes to increase that number while providing additional monies to our Lift Fund. In short, the Lift Fund provides one-time, short term aid to families facing personal, health and financial crises. In 2005, the JWL distributed more than $45,000 in aid directly to the needy in Huntington Township.
